This guide outlines the immediate setup and operational workflow for integrating ShipStation with Order Marshal and Blastramp for multi-carton shipments.
Part 1: ShipStation Immediate Setup
Log in to ShipStation.
Navigate to Account Settings > Selling Channels (Store Setup).
Click Connect Store.
Select ShipStation API (if required for custom connection).
Enter a Store Name.
Click Connect.
Go to Account Settings > API Settings.

Generate API Keys:
Select expiration (e.g., 12 months).
Click Generate API Key.

Copy the following:
API Key
API Secret
API V2 Key
Keep these credentials secure. They will be required in Order Marshal.
Part 2: Order Marshal Immediate Setup
Log in to Order Marshal.
Create a Master Bridge for ShipStation.
Order Source Setup
Select Order Source: Blastramp.

Enter all required connection details.
Name
Vendor Code (Found in Blastramp Integrations)
Vendor Key
Warehouse Number (Found in Blastramp Advanced > Settings/Administration >DC Settings > Address information
Save the connection.
Order Destination Setup
Select Order Destination: ShipStation.

Enter:
ShipStation API Key from Shipstation
ShipStation API Secret from Shipstation
API V2 Key from Shipstation
Click Create ShipStation connection.
Part 3: ShipStation Tag Configuration
Return to ShipStation.
Navigate to Orders > Tag.

Create required tags (examples):
Rate
Hold
Ship
Assign color codes as needed for operational clarity.
Go back to the Order Marshal Bridge.
Configure tasks in ShipStation source so that orders requiring rating are automatically tagged.
Save the bridge configuration.
Part 4: Order Processing Workflow (Multi-Carton)
Step 1: Release Orders in Blastramp
Log in to Blastramp.
Navigate to the Release Page.

Release orders to:
Pack & Hold and/or
Clear to Ship
Step 2: Scan & Pack (Multi-Carton Process)
Go to the Scan & Pack module in Blastramp.
Scan or manually enter the Order Number.
Press Tab to continue.

Enter:
Picker name
Carton number

Enter:
Dimensions
Weight
Scan SKU(s) (press Tab after each scan).
Click Next Carton if additional cartons are required.

Repeat:
Enter picker
Enter second carton number
Tab
Enter dimensions
Scan SKUs

When all cartons are packed:
End order
Confirm packing slip accuracy
Repeat this process for all additional orders.
Part 5: Rating & Shipping in ShipStation
Return to ShipStation.
Check that appropriate Tags are applied.
Save current filters for quick access.
Open the order.
Rate the order.
Shipping Charge Verification (If Required)
Confirm shipping charges in Blastramp match the rated amount in ShipStation.
Adjust if necessary before proceeding.
Release any orders from Pack & Hold in Blastramp (if applicable).
Part 6: Label Creation
In ShipStation, create the shipping label.
Print the label or save it as a PDF.
Send to the warehouse according to your internal SOP.
Repeat this process for all remaining orders.
