Updating/Shipping Orders Best Practice

  • Update orders with proper # of boxes and weights; this will make it easier to solve problems if freight forwarders lose a box or box arrives damaged or missing items
  • ALWAYS adjust orders as soon as you notice a missing item, have a system for your shipper to make missing items stand out (we write *MISSING ITEM* at the top of a picksheet that is missing something), you can’t adjust an order after something has shipped and it’s a pain to create an RA for that item after
